1) There are several national holidays at the USA. 2) On 4th of July "Independence Day" in 1776 America signed of the "Declaration of independence" and started the fight for freedom from British rule. 3) Today on the 4th of July People go out into the streets, dress up, and take part in parades. 4) In November American families celebrate Thanksgiving Day. 5) They have special diner with turkey pumpkin and pies. 6) They give thanks to God for the past year and remember the first harvest of the first European Americans. 7) On the 31th of October children have fan at Halloween. 8) They dress up as ghosts and witches and go from house to house and say "Trick or Treat"? 9) The 14th of Februarys St. Valentines Day people in love send "Valentines" to each other, special cards with hearts, flowers and loving words. 10) The second Sunday in May is "Mother Day". 11) People by cards, flowers, and chocolates for their mothers. 12) Public holidays in Brian are called "bank holidays" because the banks, shops and offices are closed. 13) the most popular holiday in GB is Christmas Day. 14) The fun starts the night before, on Christmas Eve. 15) Children hang stocking at the ends of their beds for Father Christmas to fill with toys. 16) Christmas Day is a family holiday with the big Christmas dinner of turkey and plum puddings. 17) One special British festivals takes place or November 5th. 18) On that day in 1605 Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament. 19) He did not succeed, but every year on “Gay Fawkes night” children in Britain make in “guys” to burn and let off fireworks.
